Good Grief!

Not surprisingly, I have had many patients come into the office and just fall to pieces. The office can be a ‘safe’ place to let go and get comfort and care. Some have mentioned job loss / stress, death, mourning the end of a relationship and emotional trauma.

All of these fall in to a grief category in Chinese Medicine. In addition, ALL of these things can effect your health.

Did you know there are acupuncture points for grief? Yes there are and they work to make you feel better fast.

Grief Relief Acupressure “base point” on the back of the body. When working with another dealing with grief issues (that would be most of us … ) you can use one hand to hold this area on the upper back while the fingers of the other hand can hold Grief Relief Acupressure Points on the front of the body.

I recommend each front-of-body point being held for 30 seconds to 3+ minutes with deep breathing by both giver and receiver.
