Here on Kauai and virtually, I work with those who want ‘Their Best Life Now.’ I teach health & vitality seeking people who choose to focus on reclaiming their life with Integrative Healthcare.
Together, we systematically get rid of the invisible “Inflammatory” responses causing their pain, premature aging & weight gain so that they can travel the world like they’ve always wanted to, continue being active & independent, and finally tick off some of those adventures on their bucket list.
I’m passionate about creating balance in this crazy world and to me that means an anti-inflammatory life.
I have over 25 years’ experience in healthcare, including being a hospital pharmaceutical sales rep, plus a past filled with injuries from teaching fitness classes and super humiliating digestive issues. (Tell you about that later)
An abrupt, painful divorce created an awakening in me. This awakening broke me out of the hamster wheel of inflammation I was running in my life. The choice for me was to make change: either be the ‘victim’ or the ‘victor’.
So…. I did a ‘control-ALT-delete’, sold all my belongings, and decided I would recreate a vibrant life by starting over here in Kauai, Hawaii.
I chose ‘victor’ and so can you.
That process of going from broken to bad-ass has given me the expertise to help you achieve balance in your life so that you can get rid of those aches, pains and digestive issues and get out there to travel, exercise and live a great story.
As a doctor who suffered injuries and chronic pain, rather than submit to surgeries and a future filled with drugs and horrible side effects, I explored different healing modalities and tested treatments on myself so that I could intelligently identify proven integrative solutions that really work.
I healed myself.
You want to live your best life today. It’s your LIFE and you need good health to make the most of the years you have left. The time to take action is NOW.
Your health is precious and I truly care. I want you to live a long and happy life. I want you to have the energy, strength and vitality to live your dreams so that you can be, do and have everything you desire in this amazing life.
The time is NOW to say YES and invest in your vibrant health, longevity, and well-being so you can create the extraordinary moments you dream of and make the next years of your life the best years of your life.
Cheers to a vibrant life!

Hi! I’m Dr. Brooke – a doctor, wellness coach, and life changer. I’ve helped thousands of people, and I can help you.
My interest in caregiving and health & fitness started early in my life. My mother was a dedicated nurse in western medicine environments where she provided holistic care to her patients. She saw and treated them as whole people, not just injured body parts. I admired the way she took care of people and her passion for healing. As a teenager, I created a babysitting business to take care of children and taught swimming lessons. As a young adult, I led aerobics sessions (Oh, the 80’s leotards!). I studied Biology at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, because I was interested in learning how the body worked, and I was raised to appreciate and enjoy science. During these years, I also became a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor. I owned a Jazzercise ™ franchise and taught classes during my free time. Soon after graduating college, I landed a job as a pharmaceutical sales representative for Procter & Gamble. I enjoyed talking science and clinical studies with the doctors, but found I was drawn more to the patients. I started offering meditations before surgeries to lower patients’ blood pressures, and I brought in massage therapists to doctors’ “lunch and learn” sessions to reduce their stress levels. Without realizing it, I was following my mother’s example and leaning toward integrated health care.
Years went by and I married and lived in a beautiful home in Austin, Texas. I traveled around the country, was financially secure, had amazing friends, and had a full life. Looking in at my life from the outside, you’d never have guessed I was struggling. My sweet Golden Retriever named Aruba knew it, but no one else did. She would look up at me with wise, compassionate eyes that asked, “What are you doing to yourself!?”
For years, I suffered through pain and injuries resulting from chronic stress, beating my body up by over-exercising, and ignoring digestive health issues that I hoped would improve on their own. Exercise had always been my antidepressant and de-stressor, and I was exercising to an extreme. I abused my body and rushed through packed days so I wouldn’t feel the emptiness of my marriage; the discontent with my successful career; the stress of speaking engagements, conferences, and meetings around the country; and the pain of being completely out of balance in body, mind, heart, and soul. That all came to a screeching halt when I developed two herniated disks that were so painful I was forced to stop. Extremely well-respected and expert back surgeons informed me that I needed surgery, and the prognosis included possible chronic pain for the rest of my life that would require ingesting the very pain-management drugs I had been selling as a pharmaceutical sales representative. This was sobering karma. I delayed surgery for a year while taking pain medicine and exploring every possible surgical alternative.
I took a good look at my life, and I made a conscious choice to change it – all of it! I wanted complete wellness. I wanted to be healed, not just cured. And I wanted to enjoy life, too! No more fad diets, counting calories, or torturous exercise routines. No more 14-hour work days, unfulfilling marriage, and uninspired work. No more racing through life to avoid problems and pain. I was done fighting with myself – fighting personal battles with chronic pain, stress, depression, insomnia, weight gain, lethargy, thyroid depletion, and autoimmune issues. I was done!
I took to heart my favorite quote by Steve Jobs: “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
Taking advantage of my biology degree and scientific background, I systematically explored and carefully researched dozens of evidence-based surgical alternatives that included: ADD HERE. Nothing was completely healing as my surgery deadline quickly approached. At a friend’s urging, and as a very last resort because I was highly skeptical and terrified of needles, I received an acupuncture treatment. I thought, “What do I have to lose?” I was facing surgery and continued use of pain medicine with problematic side effects. I tried acupuncture. It worked! I felt so much better after only one treatment that I scheduled three more. After only four treatments, I was completely pain free. I was flabbergasted that it worked, and I couldn’t explain how or why to people using my western medicine and biology degree background. I wanted to understand this effective healing modality. Now that I was pain-free, I started gently exercising by taking Aruba on long, leisurely walks and learning yoga stretches and poses.
I was so inspired by the acupuncture outcome that I resigned from my high-paying pharmaceutical sales position and enrolled in the Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Austin, TX. I am a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc) in both Hawaii and Texas. I hold the highest acupuncture certification called a Diplomat in Oriental Medicine (OM) which is granted by the National Certification Committee of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Inspired by my mother’s approach to taking care of patients, I researched nutrition and how food impacts the body and mind. I researched how thoughts influence the body. I traveled the world to learn from experts in their specific wellness fields. I studied with acupuncture and plant medicine masters in China, Japan, Indonesia, and Thailand. I worked closely with a functional medicine MD and Nurse Practitioner for more than five years. I organized my research and education and created Vitality Success BlueprintTM which is a cohesive integrated wellness program that can be customized for individuals based on their needs and goals. I realized not every approach works the same way for each person. Treatments need to be tailored.
Other changes I made during this time included ending my marriage, moving with my dog Aruba to Hawaii, and creating an integrative wellness clinic in Kauai where I provide acupuncture and other healing services to people living in or visiting Hawaii.
I like to enjoy life while also taking care of myself and others. It’s about balance. I eat delicious food, enjoy an occasional glass of great wine, walk Aruba for exercise, and hang out with my friends – it’s a happy, active, healthy life designed to serve my patients.
